First Post!

I love to read the blogs and actually started mine in May 08, but that's as far as it went. I work a regular job and moonlight in Antiques and Collectibles. My husband and I have had space in an Antique store for the last 10 years. I love to make sure that my room is decorated with whatever holiday is coming up.

The chase and find is the most exciting part of this business for us. We became dealers because we couldn't buy anything else if we didn't sell some! We live with and use our antiques daily. I am not a purest, it doesn't have to be an Antique, but it has to have that feel. Generally I can't afford all the Antique Holiday items, so we carry Bethany Lowe, KD Vintage and few of those types for the Holiday. Still the old feel, just not as expensive!

Our spot at the Antiques store is now decorated for Spring, lots of birds, flowers, pots, etc. I am currently getting ready to do a show in Coburg next month. Will do more of the garden type things, with others mixed in. This is the first show I have done in about 25 years! I used to own a shop that had "handmade" only and we did lots of shows then. Shows are soooooo much work and I vowed never to do them again! With the economy the way it is now, guess you should never say never! Think this will be a fun show with several local dealers participating (Colby Cottage, Black Crow Primitives, Relish and many others).

Well, guess that's about all for now. If any of you can tell me how to put pictures in so they don't all wind up in the same place like these did I'd appreciate it!

Debbie
