When one door closes another opens. I'm just not always as patient as I should be in waiting for it to OPEN!
Saturday I signed a new contract with Glory Days Antiques in Springfield. This is a well established shop in our area and I feel lucky to be a part of it. We will actually begin moving in the end of August and be open for business by September 1. Now I'm scrambling to decide what to keep, what to move and what to get rid of.
I spent Sunday at Amelia's working the shop and my space. Made a center table for discounted items (lots!) and discounted much of the furniture. When you've been in one spot for 10 years you have a lot of stuff!!!!!!
Here's a few pictures of the sale in my room at Amelia's. Hope to get rid of alot of these treasures so please come in and find those bargins so I don't have to move them.
Obviously I have not got this picture thing down yet. I can't get them where I want them...how do you do it?
Saturday we also took a drive up to the Brownsville Antique Fair. In the past it has always been in the street, with lots of venders. Don't know if it's a sign of the times or what. It had moved to the city park, not as many venders and really no good buys. We walked away with nothing, not like us. I remember when the Sister's Antique Fair moved to the park and I actually think that was the death of it. It was hard to know where you had been, if you'd seen everything or not. Just no rhyme or reason to the setup and that's what this reminded me of. Hope they are not shooting themselves in the foot with the new location.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm so glad you left your comment. I will consider carefully, updating my web page more often. I'm just a little overcommitted these days. Good news thought, I just updated it for August with new projects and a new feature. Also there is lots of news in the Junking world. Maybe I can work on twice a month instead of only once.
Thanks again,
Margo
